Sar B6P . Anyone own one?

I recently purchased one of these at my LGS. I've fired just about 1000 rds through it without any problem. Incredibility accurate , excellent trigger & sights. I'm very impressed. It's a clone of the CZ. Are they really this good or did I buy a fluke?

I found mine to have a brutal trigger and mediocre (for my hands) ergonomics. First firearm since a glock that I shot once and decided I would be getting rid of almost immediately. I may revisit, but compared to the pt111 I was shooting that day, I found the sar to be worse in every respect.

I had one. Really liked it, but wanted to get something a little heavier and more "substantial" in the hand so I tradd it in for some thing else. I thought the trigger was decent in single action. Double action was pretty heavy, but what do you expect. When it comes down to it, I think it's a steal for what it goes for.

Grumpy_Bottom, I'm guessing there's a bit of liberty in your use of "every respect," if not there was probably something wrong with your B6P. My B6P trigger was MUCH better than my PT111 (the trigger is my least favorite thing about the PT111), as was felt recoil and accuracy.

Fantastic pistols! Soft shooting accurate 9mil. I'd hate to see the hand that doesn't find the grip near perfect.(really, CZ vs Glock?) Trigger on my compact is the best out of the box CZ type SA/DA that I have shot with the possible exception of my SAR K2.

I paid $200 for the Sar. It blows away my CZ P07 , better ergo's , trigger & sights. The single action trigger is better than my CZ 75b SA. If it continues to operate reliably I may just have to get another one. They're $279 NIB at my LGS.

BigBL - I wasn't taking liberties, I didn't find a single thing, to me, about the SAR that I liked more than the PT111. I find racking the slide to be absurd with the lack of purchase compared to any other firearm I've ever used, I found the trigger to be heavy, heavier than the DA pull of my 92FS or my 1006, and certainly nowhere near the PT111, which, at least for mine, has no squish, a minimal, tangible reset, and consistent break. I like the grip feel of the SAR, but I like the grip feel of the PT at least as well. I find the safety mechanism to be in a horrible, literally unusable location without using my off hand. I didn't find either gun to be heavy recoilers, so I'd call that a draw, so perhaps equal or worse would have been more appropriate, but aside from that minor mitigation of my personal feelings, I stand by what I said.

Bottom line, at the end of the day, I ran one magazine through the SAR (because that's all it came with, vs. 2 on the PT), shook my head, put it back in the range bag, and went back to shooting the PT. I'm not saying it's not a gun worth trying, esp. if you're a CZ fan, at $250 or whatever special you find for it, I"m just saying for me, it has no place in my stable, and will be sold or traded at the earliest opportunity.

Fair enough. I understand what you're saying about the safety on the B6P. Mine was crazy stiff, but it did get a little better as time went on.

The gun I traded my B6P in for was a Taurus PT92. I actually like the PT92 better, being a larger gun it fits my hand a little better than the B6P.

I have the B6 (the all-metal version) and I love it, particularly for what I paid.

Shoots well, nice SA trigger (I don't really fire it DA), good sights, fits the hand well and points well. It lives in my range bag so always comes out to play when I visit the range.

I bought one for about $275 out the door and have not yet fired it but find the egos and trigger very, very good for such an inexpensive gun.

If you want a bit of an upgrade, look for the nearly identical polymer witness. It is 99% the same, but has a serrated trigger and a rail, better sites, and some minor cosmetic differences, all under $300.

I've since bought a few more since I was so impressed, even though I haven't fired it yet! I expect it to work flawlessly and accurate, as the reviews state and the design is well known.

The B6P and the Witness poly take the same mags, and seem to work fine with tall CZ mags too.

I ordered the compact version from Sportsman's Guide the other day for $237.

For what I paid for it I'm tickled to death. The stainless barrel is a nice touch especially for the price point. I put a couple hundred rounds through it without a hiccup. I like the single action trigger and the double action is decent as far as DA triggers go.

By the way CZ 75B mags fit it just fine. No need to order the expensive ones on EAA's website. I ordered a 19 round Mec-Gar CZ 75B mag for mine and it feeds just as good as the 13 rounder that came with it.

Got an Alien Gear OWB holster made for an EAA Witness Steel Compact. Fits it like a glove.

I have two : one poly frame and other is full metal! Folks I have so many guns in my collection but none of them impresed me as much as Sar B6P and Sar B6 out of the box accurate and well made prices unbeliveable chip! SarB6 more suprior than over CZ75 or Tongofilio Witness. Why? Upper receiver and lover receiver forged and in very tight tolorances! I really enjoy the shooting with these pistols.
