SAR-8 Question

I'm looking at a Springfield Armory SAR-8 and the receiver is stamped "D.C. Industries Inc. Bloomington, MN."

I'm not familiar with DC industries, is this a good product? Seller is asking around 800....worth it?

I really can't help you with the make of the receiver, but I can tell you that I've never personally seen an SAR-8 NIB sell for less than the price you mentioned.

I have the Springfield SAR-48 and can't be possibly be happier.
The receiver is by Imbel, but the rest of the rifle is quality as well.

Is the receiver cast or stamped? If its cast, its your call. Reports are that the Springfield cast receiver isn't much better than a Federal Arms receiver. If its stamped, buy it! Do a search on TFL and see what you come up with about the SAR-8

DC Industries makes the only cast alumanim receivers for both Federal and Springfield.

I'll bet you can find a good old Greek (EBO) SAR-8 for around that.
