Sandy Hook ID rifle in trunk

I don't believe personally that the gun in the trunk was a saiga shotgun. It looks more like a tube fed shotgun of some type.

Another bit of evidence to me about this is that they cycled the action of the gun several times to empty it out. The quickest way of emptying a tub fed shotgun, not a clip fed one.

furthermore while cycling the action shells are popping out several times but no mag in the gun.

Best bet is a Shotgun, Semiauto, tube fed, pistol gripped with a stock.

It would be similar to a Benelli M-1 but could easily be several others. The video is pretty poor.

If you look close while the officer is unloading it you can see the full stock but his hand is gripping the pistol grip. But it still could be a Mossberg 500 and there are aftermarket stocks for many.

BTW, I suggest you PM the forum mod in charge of this section, ask him if this topic is ok with them because I think they may not be very supportive of "conspiracy work".

Better you bring it up with them then the other way around.

Their names are;

Bud Helms , Shane Tuttle , Glenn E. Meyer

Looks like he is unloading a tube feed automatic shotgun as the charging handle is on the side with no bottom magazine. I'm guessing a Benelli Super 90

Salmoneye, nice picture of a stock, explain the rounds being ejected from a mag fed weapon that has no mag.

Maybe there was just one in the chamber and the video didn't show him removing the mag first, or the mag wasn't in and a round was left chambered.

But it doesn't look at all like a SAIGA to me and the stock looks like a standard solid stock with pistol grip. Again tho, the video is bad.

EDIT: real hard to tell, but Salmoneye might be right, the video is just so bad.
I don't know if a SAIGA locks rearward on an mag or no mag at all.

I've heard it is VERY easy to tell the difference from a rifle wound as opposed to your average pistol wound. Either the medical examiner is ignorant, or he purposely lied which is far more likely.

^^ The gun haters NEEDED something to get the public behind their agenda. What better way than to exploit such a tragedy. Very sad. I feel for all the families involved in that horrific event. But by them saying it was the "assault rifle" that was used it would get folks behind the long wanted agenda to re up and improved ban. Just my opionion.

I watched the video before an I am certain it was a shotgun, It had what looked like a skelotonized stock but may have been shot shell holder on it. There were two versions of the video one that shows the officer handing a long gun to the crime scene guys, and another crime scene guy reaches in and takes another long gun out....neither of which were ARs.

Some claim that the officer took a magazine out of the long gun in question, but I couldn't tell either way.

I'm satisfied that it was a shotgun, doesn't matter much, it was still tragic.

The wheels have been put into motion, and they put a brick on the pedal. If it is found that the AR was in the trunk, it will not change anything.

He's definitely operating a charging handle on the side. Looks about the right location for a saiga or semi-auto shotty.

I keep seeing a wire frame type stock. It looks really thin, but I don't see any wire below the top one. Could be anything, really, definitely not an AR, at least not any kind I've seen.

+1 Saiga shotgun in a dragunov stock, magazine removed.
