Am looking for information on where I can get sandpaper covered pistol grips for a 1911, who makes them, and where can I get some?

Also need to know which Wilson Rodgers magazines in Brownells are the 47D.

If you didn't know already Brownells has a killer sale on their WIlson magazines...but save me some fellas, answer my e-mail so I can make my purchase also.

Thanks

I don't konow about sandpaper grips

........but you can put a strip of skateboard deck tape in the right places and your grip will not slip. It is adhesive-backed black grit paper, lasts forever. I put about 2"X3/8" on the frontsrap and sometimes on the back depending on the gun. Cheap, good-looking, effective, removable.

The grips are availble I believe through Springfield Armory...the come standard one the TRP Operators. I know you can buy them from SA.

DZ,

That's not quite what I was talking about.

For anyone interested I saw a set at a local gun store this past weekend, and went back there to get them, no such luck, they were gomne and no one knew who ordered them, where they came from, or where they can get more...figures doesn't it.

Anyway all I can find out right now is that Springfield makes them, and may sell them. I should hear back from them sometime soon.
