Salt lake City Gunshow

George Hill

Staff Alumnus
I must say I was impressed.
This gunshow was indeed a real gunshow with many new companies showing up... Lots of gun stuff and less of a fleamarket than last time.
There was about TWICE as many people there and that made navigating around quite difficult.
I bumped into 4 members there and that is always cool. One of them was carrying my new FAL - Very Cool. Of course I was packing his AR. Its good meeting everyone and I am really looking forward to the 12th at Rangemasters.
There was more politicians there this time around and they got me wanting to become a delegate.
So in the 27th I am going to get into politics and become a delegate... So in 10 years from now if you dont see George Hill for president, you'll know that because I got completely over it - like I did with AR-15s.
More to come later.

I mean, if I went around saying I was an Emperor because some
moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, people would put me away!

Shoot, I skipped it because everybody here told me how lame it was. What kind of FAL? And are you bringing it to Springville?

George, is there any sight where I can find out which gun shows are coming up? I mean in Az, Nev., Utah, Kail., and elsewhere. I know the NRA list some in their pub, but I will start selling at many of them for awhile. Have lots of firearm related stuff. I hope to have my sight ?? in a few months. But I would like to do that outside Kali. Thanks!

Correia - You couldnt stop me. ;)
As for the Sucky shows - I talked to several vendors and they all sang the same song - a series of gun shows have stopped in Vegas and these vendors are now coming to the Salt Lake shows.
So they should be good from now on. At lease thats what it sounded liek to me. And it looked like all the vendors did good business so I bet they will be back.

Fourdiamonds - I dont know... I live in SLC so I follow the billboards. :D
I will post the next one coming up.

George, are you serious about the politics? These so much stuff flying around here tongue-in-cheek! Roon

Hey George,
Of course it was a good show <grumbles> I didnt go! That last one turned me off so completely I didnt bother.

This was probably the best SLC show I've been to in years. It was very crowded though, crowded enough that it was almost hard to make my way down the aisles. However, there were more gun related booths than I remember in the last few I attended. More importantly, the dealers I stopped to talk to were there to sell, they were reasonable (not as many of the "museum" types(you know the guys that think "thier" SKS is worth $200.00 more that the next guys :p )).

I'll be looking forward to the next SLC gunshow.

Thanks for letting me know about it George, and for the little black rifle. How ya gettin' along with yer big black rifle so far?

Oh Man - I am waiting to go shoot it!
I got every bit of digital data on the thing so I know all about it before I bust a cap. Will be doing that soon. This weekend in fact.

Fourdiamonds,
This is the list I use when looking for gun show dates http://www.crossroadsgunshows.com/gunsched.htm.

And I have to agree, this show was a LOT better then the last one, I'm glad I decided to go this time.
