Hello! I am very new to AR-style rifles and have a hard time understanding the differences.
Since I live in sweden my dream rifle would be a nordic one, the Sako M23 in 5.56. Sako has unfortunately not released a civilian version yet so im looking for alternatives that are similar in mechanism etc.
Here is some info on the Sako rifle: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sako_M23
From my understanding it features a monolithic upper receiver, short-stroke piston-operated.
I have heard many other terms when speaking of differences in AR-rifles, bufferless, direct impingement, pistons etc.
Comparing to other civilian AR-15 rifles like Ruger MPR, LWRC IC, HK MR223 etc. Which one is the most similar in terms of mechanism and other features?
