I am not intimately familiar with these rifles, but I am pretty sure the Sako is usually quite a bit more expensive.

Depending on whether the merchant has marked the Tikka waaay up to match the usual price of the Sako, or whether the Sako has been marked down to match the price of the Tikka, the decision should be pretty easy, if you have the funds.

An A7 and a Tikka are not clones.

The A7 has many of the Model 85 features starting with the receiver. You can load the A7 from above. The Tikka can only be loaded via the magazine.

If you compare the two side by side the difference in receivers is very clear.

The bolt in an A7 is very similar to an 85. The trigger group is a modified 85 trigger group.

If both rifles are the same price I would take the A7 in a heartbeat. And a Tikka is a fine rifle, not in any way knocking it. In fact the Tikka is and has been a real sleeper in my opinion. But the A7 is a notch up.
