Saiga 223 Added a different stock

I had put an ACE folding stock on my WASR

Wanted to change on my Saiga, and instead of a folding stock decided to go with a M4 style stock

Started with:

Got the Saiga stock adapter, pig nose adapter, and cut the tang on the rear trunnion. Now it looks like this;

Does it fold or is it straight? Looks good either way.

At this point it is just straight

But can add a ACE hinge at anytime for an additional $60 bucks or so....This would be about a 15 min install to add the hinge.

I was about to get an adjustable stock for my Saiga but went down the AR route and sold it.

Once I went over my mental checklist of everything I wanted in a rifle, I knew the AK just couldn't make the cut.

Another of the best things about the AK is that you can put folding stock on them. You are limited to only being able to adjust length of the stock body on the receiver extention with an AR.

Although I like the triangle folders the best, the ACE is the next best thing to me. You don't have to modify the trunnion.

Well, whether you are putting on an ACE or the M4 style stock. Both require an adapter that requires modification to the rear trunnion. The rear tang most be removed so the modication is permanent, make sure you want it. I did a little tutorial when I put the ACE folder on my WASR. You can see it here:

So with a dremel and a bench grinder you are GTG.

Oh yea. That's not a big deal though really to me, I meant more the whole thing with cutting the correct angle on the rear of the receiver and the button hole while getting the parts to fit in there
