I was flipping through a guns magazine and I see this sweet looking semi-auto rifle with a big magazine and thick barrel and then I realize that it is a shotgun! My heart is set on getting one and I need to know how much they go for and where I can get more info on them (manufacturer site). Thanks in advance. Also, does anyone own one? If so what do you think? I'm hoping I can sell my maverick 88 and shell out a few dollars to get one.

European American Armory imports them. IZMACH of Russia (the AK people) manufacture them. The Saiga rifle and shotgun are basically commercial sporting AKs made for export to America. The rifle is available in .308 win, .223 rem, and 7.62x39mm, though they all take lo-cap proprietary mags (the .308 is 8 rounds, not sure about the others.) It's available in carbine and long-rifle models with wood or synthetic furnature. The shotgun is available in 12g, 20g and .410 and is synthetic stock only, and I'm not sure about the mag capacity.

Saiga 20 is a nice gun too, low recoil, and in light of the aw sunset, it makes more sense, as the mag release is a standard ak type. (saiga 12 is a platic paddle) you can convert the 20 into a side folder pistol grip or whatever you like with the proper us parts count. I just hope they import the seven and ten round mags the russians made for the saiga 20's :)
