Keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction. Your gun should never be pointed a human
being and should always be ponted toward a suitable backstop.
Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. “Ready to shoot” means that
the firearm is aimed a target that you intend to shoot. When you finish firing, take your
finger completely out of the trigger guard before lowering your gun.
