Safety bar in a DAO M640????

Dunno if this belongs here or in The Smithy, but I took off my M640 sideplate and did not see a safety bar like in the M36.
In fact, can't even see a stud for the bottom hole of the bar to hook to.
Do the DAO's have em? Or did I lose mine?

The double-action only guns don't have them.

The purpose of the hammer block is to prevent the firing pin from contacting a primer if the hammer is hit with a crushing blow and some how overrides the stud on the rebound slide or actually bends or breaks.

With no hammer to be hit, there's no need for the hammer block.

Is there a channel cut on the underside of the sideplate to accept the bar?

VictorLouis there is a cut but not in the right place. I was just wondering if I had lost something.
Other than the right to buy 2 guns a month...heh.
