safest action job for snubbie?

What's the best way to lighten the action on a centenial style revlover without sacrificing reliablilty? I heard springs can be too light...some say just polish the insides..what do you guys suggest? Remember, it's a carry gun.....

You are on the right track there.:) A replacement or clipping of the rebound spring may be acceptable. Personally, I don't feel comfortable with swapping out the mainspring. Depending on your load of choice, you may be able to do so w/o sacrificing any reliability.

Smooth out and slick up the innards. Lighten rebound spring.

For duty/carry weapon.....drill with it often and make sure your trigger finger totally releases the trigger each time.

Some of the roughness in the Js comes from the coil hammer spring grating on rough strut that it fits over. Polish the strut edges and pack the assy with white lithium, molly or whatever you have that will stay in there. Won't make it much lighter but it will feel nicer.
