Safe for my toys

Just bought a safe off a charity auction tonight, probably gonna let it sit in the garage!

Any ideas on how to keep the guns in constant temp. and dry???

Desicant stuff to keep it dry. Cheaperthan dirt has 8oz packages for 8 bucks I believe, should keep the safe moist free. When it gets moist again, stick it in the oven to dry it back up and reuse it.

If it's in your garage put it on a wall that is against your house not a wall that is against the outside . you will have a better chance with wetness. also get it off the floor. Put your safe on a piece of plywood or a steel plate. this will also reduce the chance of moisture affecting your safe. Like every one said get a Goldenrod or some sort of dehumidifing device.

You can buy a goldenrod. Plugs into the wall and keeps the safe dry.
Well, kind of. All it really is is a small, low-power heater that keeps the inside of the safe at a slightly higher temperature than the air outside, resulting in lower relative humidity. It will also serve to reduce temperature swings, thus reducing the likelihood of condensation. It does work.

My heritage safe came screwed to a pallet for transport. It already had holes in it for internal lighting, and a de-humidification rod. It is still using it's first rod for the last 10 years. I have it mounted on a carpeted pallet now, and it keeps it off the ground 4" in case the basement does flood.
