Safariland SSIII holster ?'s

I need a new holster for my S&W 4506 (personal, CCW) and the Safariland SSIII holsters are selling real cheap on ebay, BUT I'm too old and don't have any idea how they work.

I'm used to a Safariland w/thumbreak, but these things have some sort of "middle finger release" and an "internal ejection port lock". I understand the middle finger release, but have no idea how the ejection port lock works.

So besides, opening the thumb snap (quick and easy), pushing the middle finger release (I can probably get that down with practice) what else do I have to do to be able to draw my pistol.

Thinking tactically, that much "retention" might be great for the officer who might get in a scuffle and have to fight for posession of his weapon, but for individual CCW, it seems almost like a deathwish.
