Is there any difference in the way these two function? I'm quite familiar with the C2, but the only thing I see for the N-frame seems to be the C1. That smaller knob atop the body doesn't appear too easy to grab onto.

Safariland Comp I/Comp II loaders?

I have no quarrel with that, I just prefer the Comp II. I just wonder if the Comp I design also holds them rigidly and releases via pushing into the cylinder.

The Comp I works just like a Comp II. However, I find the Comp I's small knob is tricky to lock after I have refilled the speedloader.
I have Comp I, II, III's, but I've had them 'release' cartridges after being dropped.
Based on my normal operating manner (lousy luck), I need the security of the HKS loaders. Sloooooooow for IPSC, but secure.
