Safari Arms 1911 MilSpec

There is a lack of any real details and info and opinions on the Safari Arms 1911s. Come on guys... For all of you out there that has some handling time with one of these - Sound Off!

My friend that just got one for only 300 and I went shooting. That gun ran PERFECTLY. ZERO hiccups of ANY kind. Accurate too... every bit as accurate and maybe a little more so than my Springfield. (Mine was 100% as well)

The action was very smooth... everybit as smooth as a Kimber.
The trigger was very crisp too... just like a Wilson.

My overall impression was that this was one hell of a gun and for only 300 a freaking steal!

George, I have a Safari Arms Matchmaster, Black Widow and GI model. The GI model I picked up new for $349 at a gun show and it works flawlessly. In over 4k rounds it has yet to give me any problems. It came just as tight from the factory as my Wilson CQB's did. It's accurate right from the box. Our state law states that a handgun may be purchased once every 31 days so I try my best to abide by this law and purchase one every 31 days. My dealer is currently holding a brand new Safari Arms GI model for me until Oct 14, 2001.

What wholesaler is selling these? I'd love to get one,but have never seen them for sale anywhere!
Gun buying guides are the only place i've seen them, and you gotta love that black widow!
P.S. aren't they made in South Africa?
