Safari .45?

Any thoughts or experience with the Olympic Arms Safari series? I am curious as I may be looking for a .45 soon, and they are a local company(I live in WA). Thanks, Mike

BigMike,
I have a Safari Arms Matchmaster two-tone, and it is a very reliable tackdriver! I own several 1911 series .45s, and short of my custom versions, it is the most accurate. I thought that the grip configuration would be a shortcoming, but it turns out to be quite nice in controlling recoil. My hand falls into perfect position every time. If you get an opportunity, get ahold of one. I'm sure you'll like it.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Mike

Big Mike, I always liked the SA frame for both looks and feel. Most people don't seem to like ti but I do. Back in 89 I got a pair of consecutive serial # frames with fitted slides and built them up. I have been extremely happy with them. I am sorry to hear that they are no longer redialy available. I fitted a 70's era Colt Ace .22 LR conversion to one of the frames and shoot it all the time. Shoots great and i like the two tone look allot.

BigMike-I have a Matchmaster and love it. I happen to know where a Safari Arms Enforcer (Officer size) is right now very inexpensively. Just send me an email.
