Sadlak Aluminum Mount

I'm going to order this mount here in a few weeks. I hear people say not to go with aluminum mounts, because the metal is softer than steel and titanium, but never have I heard of complaints from aluminum mounts (other than the crappy 30 dollar mounts)
Is there a reason to not get this mount? It gets nothing but good reviews across the board, and also, the basset machine mount which also gets stellar reviews is aluminum.
I won't be shooting hundreds of rounds a month, just here and there, and will also use it for deer hunting.

Over the years I have made/ordered plenty of aluminum mounts and bases with out complaints. I always figured if you wacked the gun hard enough to move the mount you probably will have wrecked the scope.

I have the steel mount, but if I was going for weight savings, I think I would choose the Airborne Mount..

Before you invest in the mount invest in one of these. All M1A receiver specs are not equal. Newer ones are not exactly to the GI specs sometimes.

The Sadlak is a Brookfield type mount which is good.
