Got word today from family in the Centerville, Iowa area that Knight Rifles closed its doors today. Don't know if they have any other manufacturing sites, but Centerville was the original location. First Austin-Halleck, now Knight....market must have gotten saturated with in-lines.

Kill the disc

If Knight would kill the disc system and go with a more common ignition system I think they would recover market share. My local Bass Pro shop says they sell T/C 10:1 against Knight and all their customers cite the disc as the reason for the preference.

Knight relocating to Alabama

It too bad they are moving, but it doesn't appear to be the end of the company or their rifles:

Glad to know we are not losing a fine manufacturer. I still think they need to lose the disc.
