sabot w/cast bullet?

have any of you fellas tried to shoot your cast bullets (complete w/lube grooves) out of your muzzleloader in a sabot. I was just curious because i just ran a few of my 45-70 350s through my .452 sizer and sat one in a sabot and rubbed my chin and went "hmmmmmm?"?

i'm sure someone else has tried this and was curious what your results were. not sure if the sabot would release cleanly because of lube grooves.
 
I've shot factory .45 TC MaxiHunters with a sabot without any problems. They weren't cast but they did have lubed grooves that I first removed the lube from which was old, hard and dried out anyway.
I've also shot some Speer 300 grain .45-70 FMJ Flatpoint bullets out of a sabot and they shot okay too.
