I had never heard of these "machines" before I came across mine. Some years ago I found a used-like new SP1822 with a heavy 18" bull barrel. This puppy has the barrel of a 10-22, the mag is also 10-22. It wears a Bushnell 3x-12x by 40mm on top. With CCI Green Tags (I haven't tested other target ammo yet---Really there's no need to) it will put 10 (TEN) into a hole slightly larger than bullet diameter at 25 yds. 
With Stingers the groups grow apart a bit, but still are awesome. It's a bit too heavy to bring out in the field squirrel hunting, although I've done it. NO squirrel is safe within 75 yds. So far, almost all the folks I converse with about it, have never heard of it either. Any of you guys here have ever owned or had personal experience with the Sabatti SP1822?
