Besides the differences in shape, are there other differences between the regular SA revolver grip and the Bisley grip that effect shooting? Is one more comfortable to shoot high powered loads with than the other?

Thanks

There is a little less tendency to roll in the hand with the Bisley grip and the hand itself is a little more in line with the barrel. All that said, I don't like the Bisley grip; maybe just tradition.

I agree. I have both. The Bisley is a try before you buy thing. I have big hand, so I never feel like I have a good grip on the standard SAA. With the Bisley, I feel too stretched. Try the grip of an 1863 Colt C&B revolver. I like it a lot. You could get one fitted to a regular gun. It shouldn't cost and arm and a leg. Als, try the Ruger Bisley, it's a little different that the real Bisley.
