SA revolver barrel shortening?

Anyone know a ballpark price to shorten the barrel of a Ruger SBH Bisley Barrel. Note, the ejector rod does not go the length of the barrel. How much harder would it be if it did?

Do you want to shorten the barrel to another standard length? If so, try Ruger; they will usually swap barrels at a reasonable charge.

If you want a short custom length (say 3 1/2", try Cylinder & Slide (www.cylinder-slide.com)).

I had mine shortened to 4 5/8 to make it quicker to draw (it is a bear country carrier). I don't remember the cost, but that is a good length. Make sure whoever does it recrowns the barrel and put the stock rear sight on it. My smith at the time experimented with a thinner front sight blade, but the stock blade worked better.
Good luck with your project.

(Oh, and by the way, mine is for sale or trade, in case you don't want to shorten yours... ;))
