SA loaded 9mm

Does anyone have any experience w/ the Springfield loaded 9mm? I was on the verge of buying one and a buddy tells me "don't buy a 1911 in 9mm. The 1911 wasn't designed w/ the 9mm in mind. It'll jam!" True/False?

I have one and I love it. Extremely reliable and very accurate. I am going to start using it in IDPA matches. I have also had Colt 9mms and they function fine also.

The only jam I have had in mind was self induced with the addition of a stronger recoil spring. I did not like the lazy feel of the action with the factory spring. UMC ammo was not powerful enough for this spring. Win White Box has worked flawlessly though. It is a truly fun pistol to shoot. I got it for the purpose of conversion to 9x23 but can't bring myself to screw with it now.

I have two Springfield Loadeds in 9mm (gift from my wife), a full size and a LW Ultra Compact.
They both run flawlessly... FWIW.
