SA Holsters for SASS

What are the rules for holsters for shooting? Can I wear two gun belts crossed, or just one two gun rig? Also I am not clear on where the grip has to fall; I like the low hung “Hollywood” style, but will that work for all the classes of shooting?
Thanks in advance

Yes you can wear two belts crossed. Buscadero rigs are legal in most classes except classic and plainsman. Holsters can't have more than a 30 degree cant including cross draw holsters. On a classic holster the grip has to be above the top of the belt like this one.

On a buscadero rig the grip comes below the top of the belt.

Holsters

Is there any advantage of one over the other? Is wearing two crossed uncomfortable? I was thinking with two singles I would be able to adjust each a little better, but since I have never wore either, not sure. And at the cost of the better ones, would hate to make a serious mistake.

The problem with buscadero rigs is the holsters can't move. If they don't sit where you want them that's just tuff, you're stuck with it. Two belts would eliminate that. You can adjust both to where you want them. Classic holsters slide along the belt so a single belt would work fine for them and once you get them where you want them a Chicago screw through the back of the loop will hold them there. Problem with two belts is you have to wear them on somewhat of a slant so when you sit they're going to tend to crawl up.

kflach--your google-fu is weak grasshopper.

it is either 1) you pay for it, don't get it and get arrested for it anyways. or
2) a screw that both ends have largeish diameter and very flat heads,
one of which the shank fully contains the others threads.

Thanks!

I didn't want to be 'accidentally' looking at some kind of strange Al Capone/Yankee **** during work hours.
