As some of you may recall, I purchased a Springfield Loaded in February. Bought it off of the web. Slide to frame fit and barrel to slide/frame fit was excellent. Finish was excellent.
However, the trigger was terrible. A lot of take-up, then a good deal of creep and then a hitch before let off. I put 100 rounds through it and then called Springfield. They said to send it in, that they would have it back to me w/in 30 days and that if the trigger was as bad as I said, they would reimburse my shipping.
After 3 weeks, I called SA and talked w/Frank and Lisa. I was told that the repair shop guys were working on a big scope project. Because of this, my gun's trigger was going to be worked on by the custom shop guys and returned to me in about 2-3 days.
Well, the gun came back a short while ago and all I can say is WOW! It has the best trigger I have ever shot on a 1911. A slight bit of take-up with no creep at all. It has a super crisp break at what I am guessing to be 3-3.5lbs.
I am not the best shot around, but from 25 feet I was able to put 5 shots into one hole about the size of a nickel! I kept the target just to remind myself that it was me doing the shooting :~)
It gets better. Last week, I shot my bi-monthly pinshoot with it and had my best score BY FAR!
It gets better even still. Today, I get my mail and there is a $30.25 check from Springfield to cover my shipping costs.
NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE. SA has won a loyal customer in me. To all of you considering the purchase of a 1911, give serious consideration to the SA Loaded guns. You get alot of gun for the money, and the customer service can't be beat.
