I have the opportunity to purchase this in the near future with 4 30 round magazines for $500. The magazines dont seem to have any country of origin markings on them. Im wondering if there is some sort of stupid law I will break if I use these magazines with it and if there is a way around that. US parts kit? I do like the looks of the thumbhole stock though and dont want to change that.

Also - does this particular one fire from a closed bolt. I've been looking at it and it sure seems to.

Yes, it does fire from a closed bolt as all standard AKs do.

It sounds like a pretty good deal. More than I've paid for an AK, but I've never bought a SA-85 and I haven't bought an AK recently.
