S&W tsw

I have looked at the S&W tsw series pistols in the past. Does anyone have experience with any of these. I have the S&W 3913 and it is the only S&W auto that I like. I was thinking of buying the 3913 TSW. I like the size for CCW.

The 3913TSW is a slightly smaller version of the regular 3913 -- it's about half a inch shorter in length and height. Looking at them side by side, you will notice a slight difference in size and a big difference in concealed carry.

If you like your regular 3913, you're really going to love the tactical version. The entire tactical line has been specially designed by their performance center and I consider them (the tactical line) to be "world class" -- being well able to hold their own against the SIGs and Berettas.

S&W autos have a bad rap because of their first generation auto's, which were really a piece of ... Their second generation autos came a long way in fixing those problems and their current third generation autos are really the top of the line.

I would highly recommend any of S&W pistols, especially the tactical series as I own both the 3913TSW and the 4013TSW, and I've been very happy with them. They are accurate, have less recoil than other pistols their size because of some internal changes that S&W has incorporated in the tactical series and so far, I have not experienced a single jam in either one of them and I have fed them just about everything.

However, if you really like this gun, I suggest that you RUSH out and get it QUICKLY. S&W is in the process of streamlining their auto line and a majority of their pistols will now be in the "Tactical" line.

Sales have been off across the board for all gun makers and S&W makes more different types of pistols than anyone else in the world. Instead of carrying three lines (an economy line, the regular S&W's, and the top of the line "Tactical" series), they will be concentrating on the low & high ends.

Part of this streamlining process will be to consolidate the 3913 pistols -- the 3913TSW and the slightly larger regular 3913 (which you own) into a single gun. It will still be called the 3913TSW but it will not be as small as the current 3913TSW -- instead, it will be the same size as the regular 3913 (your current gun) but with all of the tactical features.

While I am sure that this will be an excellent gun as well, part of the appeal of the original 3913TSW was it's slightly smaller size when compared to the regular 3913. Regards.

Fud,
Thanks for the info. I had no idea the 3913TSW was a little smaller. Unfortunately I won't be able to get one too quickly. I've bought seven handguns in the last year (and some long guns too).

Good job mrat! Wish I could afford all of that. What is that bizarre shelf thing on the bottom of the new TSW? Is that to mount accessories/gadgets/lights? Eeeewwwww, talk about non-conducive to concealment and a snag-inducer during drawing/reholstering! Oh well, maybe it's removable.

It is for accessories/lights, etc. It is kind of wierd looking. I've been making purchases while I still can. I live in California, so just about everything is in the process of being banned...assault weapons, junk guns, sniper rifles, lets see what else can they think of, maybe squirt guns. I have a couple of more things I'm trying to get before Cali becomes a gun free utopia.
