Hi everyone, I got a Smith and Wesson 40VE. I like the gun but one problem I have is about every third round seems to hang up between the clip and loading into the barrel, the slide locks open and I have to clear the jammed shell out. It dosen't really matter what kind of ammo I use. Is there anything you could recommend I do before I ship it off to be repaired? Anyone else have or had this problem. I clean it well but it's like every third (or fourth) round. Thanks

I'd ship it back to S&W. They'll likely polish the feed ramp a bit and that should fix the problem.

I agree, they are not known for giveing that type of problem , you probably just got the 1 bad apple out of the barrel.
