S&W Sport trigger

My Sport is great and has a surprisingly crisp trigger. Problem is, the pull is fairly stiff.

Any way to cheaply lighten it a bit without installing a trigger kit?

It's really a matter of polishing/stoning the sear and the hammer notch so they have a smooth surface. The sear is at the front, and the rear is the disconnector hook. If this don't suit, then you can buy a full assembly.

New hammers and triggers are not case hardened in many guns, though S&W does still use the process. Now, they use hardenable steel, that is hardened through, or almost all the way through, then temper it. The AR-15's are all that way, that I have seen.
