I recently purchased a Sigma 40VE. It would not feed any of the rounds that are available in my area. UMC 180Gr FMJ, Federal HS 165Gr., or Win 180Gr FMJ.
The mag. seems to line up the round low on the ramp. Hard to rachet the first round, feeding failures 10% of the time. On some rounds it would push the lead back into the casing.
I sent the "gun" to S&W for warranty work.
Got it back in two weeks. New barrel, same problem.
Shooting Times says they have put 5,000 rounds through one of these beauties without a single failure. I find this hard to believe for any SA but I guess anything is possible.
Mine was very accurate but I coud not depend on it so I had to get rid of it. I traded it (and some cash)for a Glock 23. The Glock will feed rocks.
