S&W shotgun

Hello all,

I am new here and have a question. I just got a S&W model 3000 12 GA. shotgun. Does anyone know if I can get a magazine extention for it. Or will parts for other shotguns fit?

While the S&W Model 3000 is a close copy of the Remington 870 parts DO NOT interchange.

The gun was actually made in Japan by Howa.

Gun Parts Corporation still have most parts for the S&W Model 3000 AND all the parts from when Mossberg sold it for several years, also as the Model 3000.

I suggest emailing Choate and ask if they make an extension that will fit the 3000.

I sent Choate an e-mail to see if they had any parts, but if not will the Mossberg Model 3000 parts work?
 
The S&W and Mossberg Model 3000 are the EXACT same gun.

Howa of Japan actually made the gun, and after S&W dropped it, Mossberg picked it up for a year or so.
Other than the name and a cosmetic change or two, the guns are the same, and all parts interchange.

These were nice, high quality guns under both names.
 
I've got a model 3000 that I too would like to add a few things to. Did anyone have any luck finding aftermarket parts?

I'm specifically looking for a stock/forend, mag extension, and sights...

Luckily mine came into my posession complete with a 7-round mag tube and rifle sights. With those new "Tru-ball" slugs it holds a nicer group than my friends rifled slug gun (inside of 100yds, anyway). Amazing for a "brush gun". So they made sporting versions as well, eh?

For sights, you can use most any rifle or ghost ring sight set.
A good place to buy shotgun sights is Brownell's:

You usually have to have a gunsmith mount the sights.
The front sight is either brazed on, or, Brownell's sell a nice clamp-on front sight.

The ghost rear is attached by drilling and tapping the receiver.
