S & W Shield and Apex question.

What are your thoughts about adding the Apex carry kit and/or trigger to the Smith & Wesson Shield? Does it provide significant improvement? Is there much difference between it and a stock Shield that’s been fired maybe 1000-1500 times? Is it that much more beneficial to replace just one or use both kits? Any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks.

The kits are nice, but I would think twice about putting it on a my edc piece. O have done trigger and spring kits before that cause occasional light strikes

My shield in 9mm's trigger was a nice improvement over the regular m&p line. I wouldn't bother upgrading an already good trigger. (Not as good as a ppq mind you ;) )

It is not a night and day difference, but it is an improvement (and the stock trigger is ok). No reliability issues so far (Only 200+ rounds of HST down the pipe). Heine straight 8 sights are next.

The APEX kit doesn't replace the striker spring, so there shouldn't be any light strikes.

IMO the stock trigger on my Shield 9 is actually pretty good the way it is.
Not enough potential upside to change it.

Apex is a definite improvement for the full size m&p...

Feom what others have said, the shield is better than the full size, so it is less drastic a change. So it really comes down to how much you like the stock trigger vs the costs to get a kit.

I didn't put the full kit in mine. I just bought the hard sear. Definite improvement. It made a good trigger great. Not too light for carry either

It turned my M&P9c from a good gun into a great gun. Night and day difference in trigger pull. Smooth 4 lbs. now. Gritty 6.5 lbs. to start off with. Not a horrible trigger mind you. Just can be made so much better.
