S&W revolver serial number?

Hi All
I have a S&W .22 revolver and I don't know the model number or year of mfg. Serial number is 59xxx.
Can anyone help or know where I can find out this info.

If it's a J-frame Kit Gun, it's probably sometime 'long about 1959 or so.

Are you sure there isn't an "M" before the number?

Hi Tamara
I got the serial # from the yoke. I just took off the grips and there is a K then a long space and the serial #. So maybe a K22?
Also the number on the bottom of the grip frame does not match the number on the yoke. A difference of 190!

The number on the yoke is just a build #.

The serial number is the one on the bottom of the frame with the K-prefix.
