Can anyone tell me the S&W Performance Center's PPC model and/or post a picture? Is it SA only? Is the safety slide or frame mounted? Single or double stack column? How's it shoot? Is it okay for IDPA ESP Division? Price? Do any pre-agreement PPCs exist? Thanks, Dennis

I think that it's DA/SA but if SmithNut says it SA, I'll take his word over mine as he is far more knowledgable than I.

A friend of mine has one that he shoots in PPC match 1500. It is a 5906 based frame, single action. The safety is on the slide. 5" barrel. His shoots good, but you need to find the right ammo for the 50 yard line. Price is around $1000 or so. Not sure if pre agreement models exist, as it comes from the custom shop. The rear sight is adjustable and it has a high front sight blade.

NJW: Hi! I think you're thinking of the new Performance Center model 952 rather than the PPC model. Regards, Dennis

You are right, When I saw PPC I came to my own conclusions :o). Thanks for the clarification.

By the way, the rear sight on the PPC Model is an Aristocrat multi-position adjustable. The trick is that you can dial in elevation changes for each of the specific distances in PPC. These pistols have been around for a few years, but the trick will be to find one. Most are in the hands of collectors and department PPC teams.
