S&W performance center 327

My local LGS has a used one for $900.00 that they asked me to make an offer on,but I just can't justify the cost for two extra rounds. If I want to carry 8 I can carry my 1911 comander size 45, or Ruger LC9 9MM

I pick up a GP-100 327 today... I haven't fired it yet and I was told that I have 4 different ammo to choose from all 32s. I'm not sure what they are....

I have a 5" 327 that I use for Steel Challenge. I shoot .38 Short Colt loads in it.

It's great for fast shooting and quick transition between targets, but too light for shooting magnum loads. The blast out of a snubby will be pretty severe. Go with rubber grips.

The factory action wasn't bad, but not good enough for competition.

I have 2 327's. I have a performance center 327 snub and have put 24 .357mag rounds through it and no doubt it kicks, the .38's are much more tame. Really nice fit and finish on the gun and glad I purchased it! I also have a 327 Nightguard and the .357 mags are a little easier to fire through this gun and .38's are no problem at all. I'm looking at a 627 to complement my 327's and round out my S&W .357 collection.

It will be "unpleasant" for shooting .357 magnums.

I have a TRR8, and though a 5" barrel, it's still a very lightweight revolver. Recoil is very comfortable with the full size rubber grips. Unless small concealment grips are used, the 2" shouldn't be tortuous (or even unpleasant, necessarily). FWIW, I've had great experience with mine so far, and I'm finally getting set up to take it backpacking with me (Bianchi X15 shoulder holster, opposite moonclip holders). The PC trigger job is probably the best part of the deal, apart from moonclips. Buy one, it's gonna be fun on a bun :D

I'm seriously thinking about getting a 2" and a 4". I have a 4" Ruger SP 101 for hiking, but it's a 5 shot, and I like the idea of 8 shots better.

My wife, who was not keen on guns when we met, now insists I have one on me at all times. She is afraid to go hiking in CO now, because there have been so many bear sightings where we have a condo in Beaver Creek. Consequently, she no longer gives me any static about buying guns.

I have a 7 shot 386 Night Guard, but it shoots high with magnums, and they are what I want to use in the mountains.

To cool fool. It's not a 327, it's a 327.

I think your SP101 would be better for hiking, and I own a 327 R8, and an SP101 3" .357mag.
