Oil Strike! I actually found, and got, a Model 13 .357 Carry Gun, Special Edition from the S&W Performance Center. Used but never shot, beautiful!!!
But, Wife fell in love with it so guess what.... <L>, could be worse, at least it is in the family.
BTW, I'm told that S&W PC only made 250 of this model, is that true???

S&W made 400 in 1995 for Lew Horton. Great gun shoot it and have fun, Tamara has one that has been in a few photo posts. Mine is a plain jane 13 but here is a pic

Here's one I'd taken where it was posing with its stainless cousin, a 3" RB Model 65. :)

I don't have a 13 yet.......... I do have a sweet Model 65, with heavy 3 inch barrel, DAO lockwork, bobbed hammer, trigger stop, and some other goodies, including beautiful Hoague LamoCamo stocks

I am going to spend some of my vacation time in July with my brother in law in Mississippi. He is ex FBI, and has three minty Model 13s though...........

...and you have this bottle of chloroform and a gauze pad... Hey! I have an idea! :D

:p

Well, I just picked up my first 13, a 13-2 to be exact...

Nice looking guns folks!

I got the chance to grab one LNIB & unfired from a local dealer.
It's a sweet gun. It's a handful with factory loads
(compared to my Highway Patrolman).

I'm going to shoot it some more as I don't really go the
"safe queeen" route with guns.

I was glad to find a P&R'd unit. S&W says this one was
manufactured in 1981.

Great replies, thanks!
Wish I had a digital camera.... in fact you all may force me to buy one <L>.
The S&W PC model 13 (-4) I got has a bobbed hammer, 3" ported barrel, great DA trigger, and she sure is pretty.
We have shot mainly 38+Ps so far, but I just had to try some Hot 357s and that porting sure does work. Never purchased a ported gun before, but is kind of nice to never lose the sights. Back draw is the muzzle blast, so everything has a trade off. Of course with that K frame I'm not going to make a habit of those kind of loads. She is tight and I want her to stay that way.
The wife has this one definitely claimed as her PD gun, but she does let me have visitation. k
