S&W Model 65 frame 'letter'?

I'm trying to figure out if my speedloaders will fit a particular holder, it says medium 6-shot, N-Frame S&W and some other.

the S&W website says the Mod 65 is a medium frame, is this different from the 'lettered' frames?

Sorry, don't know the S&W frame sizing stuff at all...it fits me or not ;-)

Thanks, I think I'll look for speedloader holder that are rated by the speedloaders they can hold..not the gun for the speedloader that they can (in theory) hold..

there is some builtin fudge factor

i had a speedloader carrier for my duty belt designed for K-frame speedloaders, it had a plastic insert which helt them in place. i took out the insert and used them for the speedloaders fro my python...worked fine except for aslight rattle

If you have HKS speedloaders, you need the ones with "10" on them. This means model 10, but they will fit any .38 Special or .357 Magnum K-frame, including the 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 19.

I don't know about the Model 11s, as they chambered the .38 S&W.

I use "SixSecondReload" holders from H-K-S.
For K and L frames Model 103Med works. Holds two speedloaders.

I like to shrink the leather with alcohol and make them fit tight, carry upside down. Free hand sweeps the snap down and grab loader with fingers......single motion, very fast.

"I've already got the speedloaders, trying to find holders for HKS 10-A..."

Oh dear. Looks like I'm the one who's braindead, then... :)

Bianchi, Don Hume, and other holstermakers make the speedloader carriers in a couple of flavors.
