S&W Model 29-2 1962 revolver. Bright hammer & trigger?

Hello to all who may know the answer to this. Thank you in advance as I am new to this forum. Did S&W ever issue " bright " metal target triggers and hammers on their Model 29-2 or any 60s or 70s issue Mod 29 revolvers? Either as standard equipment or special order? I most always see the case hardened darker versions with the marbleized colors. I have encountered one with bright steel on those parts. 1962 area early issue of the 29-2, 3 screw model. With the diamond grips, etc..
ALSO, ARE THE K FRAME TRIGGERS AND HAMMERS interchangeable with the N frames?
Thank you!

As far as I know, no, S&W never offered bright (as in polished or plated) hammers and triggers.

And no, the K frame triggers are not interchangeable.

ANYTHING was possible on a S&W via special order. But 99.99% of the time the unusual features were done outside the factory by previous owners.

I believe K and N frame triggers are the same but the N frame hammer is longer. But I could be wrong.

Last year a local shop had a model 27 (or pre model 27, can't remember) with a 3 1/2" barrel that was nickel. The hammer and trigger was also nickel. I told him I didn't believe that believe S&W ever did that. So, he had it lettered and then sold it. I later asked him about the nickel hammer and trigger and he swears the letter said it came that way from S&W. I didn't get to read the letter, so, take that for what it is worth.

I have a 4" 27-3 where the trigger and hammer have been jeweled, I believe the gun had a trigger job done as well as it has a great trigger. I would be willing to bet the polished trigger and hammer are not factory.

I have a M25-2 and used to have a M19 with bright hammer and trigger.
But then I sent them to the gunsmith who polished them up.
Not factory on mine or yours.

Jo Pike- There is one known example of S&W nickel plating a hammer and trigger on special order. I would bet it all that the gun in the shop was refinished. Plated hammer and trigger is SURE sign of refinish on a Smith. These parts being jeweled is also non factory.
