Judging from the bluing, I'd say that gun has never seen the inside of a holster.

I'd do unwholesome things for a 3.5" 27 in that condition.
 
Yep. You gottahold of a beauty there.

I'd love to have one just like it - or a Model 24 just like it (I like 44 Specials).
 
A 3 1/2" Model 27 is, IMHO, the best looking handgun ever made. I would absolutely love to find one to keep my 5" 27-2 company.

 
I'll echo Webleymkv's thoughts

While 4" barrels on revolvers is almost universal I've always felt that they are 1/2" too long for the purpose of aesthetics.

The model 27 or the Colt Python. What a great time it was when you could make your choice and both were (almost) reasonably priced. Sigh.

Without a doubt you got one of the good ones.

The factory wood grips on either one don't fit me very well but they really do look elegant.
 
That is one fine looking revolver. The photos are well done also. Now you have to go out shooting and truly enjoy it.:)
