S & W Model 15 buy?

I took a look at a 1951 S & W Model 15, .38 special at a gun shop today. It is in very good and possibly excellent condition. its a "five screw." Comes with an extra grip that is larger than the wooden ones and has a trap door on the bottom that opened up to a hold of 6 more rounds. It has adjustable rear sights. They want $295 for it. The Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson lists $275 for exc and $200 for very good.

Please, no S & W flames. They made their money off this gun many many years....

Excellent deal in my opinion. I know people that would pay $350 for it in a heartbeat. Is that weird spare grip factory?

If as described n I had the dough in pocket, would try em at 250, next move be 275 out the door.

No flames...one can't have enough older Smith wheelguns.
