I am wanting to get one of these with either a 3 or 4 inch barrel. Needs to be reasonably priced. Can anyone tell me any companies that sell these cheap?

try j&G Sales. They have some trade ins now for under 200 dollars. I picked up a beautiful M15 4" for 215.00 at Gander Mountain. They had just taken it in on trade. Also have a 4" M10 in brand new condition in the box sitting there waiting for me to have the time in town to pick it up. They had it shipped in from another store.

I'd love a really cherry Model 10 myself -- someone on one of the gun forums once quipped that every American male should be issued one at birth. However, it's hard to search for them on GunsAmerica and such. What do you type in the search prompt? "10"? ;)

Hard to search for posts about them on TFL and THR, too. I've resorted to typing in specific model numbers -- "10-3" and such. But there are so many versions of the Model 10!

If you have pawn shops that buy and sell guns get a list and just make a trip once in awhile you will be surprised what you can find.Just got a 10-8 HB in a pawn shop like new for $240.Or even hit the gun shops you can find some deals if you look hard.Gun shop sold me a model 7 for under $200 now there is no such animal as a 7 it's a pre model 14 95% in great shape. There is a 7 inside the yoke and this is before they started to put there model no. there so to them was a 7 ???????? I love that 10 not sure if they all will but where you aim it will hit and a gun with no adjustable sight that is great. You will have to watch some are DA only mine is DA/SA that I like.

There is alot of te model 10 4" pencil barrells around. Smith did that buy back from Hong Kong police. I picked one up for 285.00 and it shoots and locks up tighter then any Smith I own. The 4" pencil barrell just has real good balance to it.
