S&W model 1 1/2 barrel bulge

I picked this S&W model 1 1/2 32 yesterday. Its the centerfire model. Unfortunately, I discovered a slight barrel bulge after I bought it. The SN is 19XXX. I am wondering 2 things, how (or if) this bulge can be repaired? And my second question is, what year was this gun made? In my book all I get is a year range of production.

See how it shoots, first.

Often, a barrel bulge will have little to no effect on accuracy.

The only way to repair it is either cut the barrel back behind the bulge, or replace the whole upper barrel assembly.

Unless it's a truly exceptional shooter, there's not much point in attempting a repair. (...and even then, you'll pay more for the parts and labor than the gun is worth, most likely.)

I agree with Mike Irwin, unless the bulged barrel has an effect on the accuracy or function of the gun, I wouldn't worry about it.
