Its been a safe queen until I decided to take it on RV thats when I added the grips. Its the 2.5 inch model.
I seriously considering selling it but my research is finding nickel finish and not blue with 2.5 inch barrel. I would sell with these grips and the stock factory grips that came with it. No box or paperwork.
Low round count and factory ammo only mainly 38 specials.

I have the same gun, in pretty much the same condition that I got a couple of years ago (mine had Pachmayr's on it when I got it). I paid $450 for it at a local shop.

Sold for $700 have a waiting list if first guy falls thru, it's this crazy CA laws, this gun isn't on the doj list of current so can't ship to anyone must be sold locally or out of state.
Pictures don't do this gun justice its spotless.

Value up here is between $ 700 - $800.../ and there are not many 2 1/2" S&W model 19's or 66's or 686's around in my area -- just got back from a big gun show today....and there was nothing in those models in a 2 1/2" at all ...and only one in a 4" either...( and only a few in 6"...)

If that 2 1/2" was Nickel ...add another $ 100 ...

I actually thought I priced it to low I had so many offers to buy, but I bought this in 71 when I came back from Japan if I figure the price back then I made out just fine.

My observation as of late is that 2.5" m19's and 66's are bringing premiums these days. In equal condition with 4" models they seem to enjoy about another $100 or so in value/selling prices, particularly m19's with little if any wear to the blued finish.

I think $700 is about right. Not a steal, but not overpriced based on what I have casually observed them selling for. YMMV, especially in different localities/political environs.
