S&W M64 4" 38 Special -1 ?

I have found a pile of these in a used display. A pinned barrel, assorted grips, fixed sights, good actions and matte top heavy 4" barrel. What would you think of them? -1 IIRC was the change of ejector threads to solve the unscrewing of the ejector rod. Any opinions?

The change to left hand threads on the extractor rod was made around 1960, about 10 years before the M64 was introduced. On some/most of the earlier blued guns the -1 was the thread change. The -1 on the M64 was the introduction of the heavy barrel (instead of the tapered barrel). Basically, the M64 is a stainless steel M10, a good solid & reliable 38 SPL with the strength to easily handle +P ammo. If you don't need more than the 38 SPL has to offer, it would be hard to imagine a better home/truck/general bang around revolver than the M64.

I have a 2" model 64 that I enjoy very much. I would love to find a 4" to go with it. It is the gun that I have the most fun with just banging away at the range

What CAN I say? I was around for the -1 blued ejector rod change. I didn't know that the -1 change in the M64 was a barrel change. I learned something. I have a M65-5 HB 4". I figured a M64 would be a nice companion. I figure I can get the M64-1, a G&G duty holster and some Pachmayrs for $280.00 OTD.
