For plinking, home defense, overall they are almost apples to apples. 619 will have the advantage of a 7th round vs. 6 in the LS. The 65 is a K-frame vs. the 619's L-frame. The 619 will handle more frequent use of full-power magnums. When you throw carry into the mix the LS comes out a little ahead. The LS65 is a 3" with a shrouded ejector rod. Excellent, EXCELLENT set-up for someone willing to carry a gun of that size and weight concealed. If I'm not mistaken, the 619 is only offered as a 4".
