S&W M38-2 Question/Advice

For a couple of months now i have been looking to sell this M38-2 Airweight Bodyguard. It is not rated for 38+P. It was my carry weapon, but i wanted something with a little more punch so i bought a S&W M637 that was +p rated. My daughter will be 21 in a year and tells me she wants to get a CCW Lic here in Texas. She is a Soph in college and plans to get an apartment next year. I'm thinking maybe i should just keep it and give it to her when it is time. Have negative thoughts about giving her a weapon so young. Anyway i'm starting to think it is a good idea and the right weapon for her. She has fired it and did well. Comments?

wish I could find it

Not moot.......

Remember years back reading about a meeting of six of the best (to include Askins, Jordan, Skelton, Cooper(?), and some other 'real deals') discussing what gun their wives carried; to a man they replied "S&W M38".

I never forgot that, so when it (finally) became time to arm my wife, well, you can guess what she (still) carries.
Yep, non-+P M38 (stoked with a custom easy-shooting 140g XTP-HP load).

Now MY oldest daughter is soon to finish college and be out on her own..........and she's 4'10"..........and I wish I had another for her (but maybe she'll take something else, or maybe I'll find another).

Randy...........

+P & +P+ are great in 4" & longer barrel guns; a waste of your hard earned $ in a 2" snubby. Stoke it with Aguila® of MagTech® 158gr JHP. These are Standard Pressure loads that shoot POA, low recoil, highly accurate, & inexpensive. My wife & I both carry these in our snub nose revolvers & are highy pleased.
