S&W M19-6 new and new to me

Found this during one of my pawn shop rounds.

I was at one of the pawn shops that I frequent recently and the owner says I just got something from an estate that you might be interested in.

Out from the back comes a S&W blue box. Inside contains a model 19-6 that has only been fired at the S&W as there were only powder marks on the cylinder in three opposing holes. It has box, tools in sealed bag and original papers with warranty card.

The pawn shop owner said it was from an estate and the owner just bought the guns and squirreled them away in the dresser. The son who brought the guns in had no interest in them and wanted to sell them

They also showed me an old Colt New Frontier with original box and S&W M41 in presentation box, both with everything original and unfired. Those stayed there as I haven’t managed to acquire “that” affliction yet.

Details:
DOB ~ 1988
Gun box papers tools
Blued
Model 19-6
6 inch bbl

It looks like this:

Very nice. I picked up a 19-3 with 6" bl just last week. It also had the box and papers and target grips. Very nice. Congratulations.

Unfortunately, the Model 19-6 is one of the least desireable revolvers ever, and no one should be subjected to owning one, especially in condition as horrible as that. I pity you, sir, but out of the goodness of my heart would be willing to bear your burden and take that off your hands. No thanks needed, just wanting to reach out and help a fellow gun owner who has lost his way. :D

Lots of people favor different Smith & Wesson revolvers due to certain features, engineering changes or often, from the era in which they were produced. Well, the revolvers from about 1986 to 1990 are the ones I first cut my teeth on and I have two of them that I got new. First was a gift, the second was my own purchase, the bulk of which was paper route money.

I'd be in a small state of shock if I came across that, and I'd be in a pickle if the price didn't make me grab the wallet in an instant.

Care to share a price? I -LOVE- that revolver. :o

The final agreed on price ended up being $700 :)
