I got a call from the LGS last week, said he just got a LNIB 15-3.
He said it has box, tools, papers and original 1973 sales receipt of $117.99.

He said there’s also a Model 28 5 screw no box/papers/tools there at $750.
I already have two 3 screw specimens, one LNIB, and so since table saw purchase, passed on first choice on the M28 (the force was with me).

I told him I’d be there at lunch. I said he could have called last week… before I purchased a new $2000.00 cabinet table saw.
I was conflicted but opportunities like this don’t come by often.

Off to the LGS at lunch, sure enough basically just fired once or twice and put in box.
One form 4473 and I was out the door with my new M15.

Serial number puts DOB at 1971.

Very nice revolver , looks LNIB . I love the 14 & 15 revolvers , I have two 14's , I would like a 4" 15 .

I can't believe what 28s are going for. About 10 years ago I bought a nice Highway Patrolman that shipped in 1954 for $190. Hard to believe these were made to be discount guns for cops. I have seen them priced above M27s on the same table. Insane.

Wow, that is one of the guns I would love to have. I remember watching Adam-12 reruns as a kid and the Model 15 was one of their side arms.

Other than a second J frame, a clean 4" model 15 is one of the few 38 special revolvers I would really like to have.

I'm with S.P. on pricing on the model 28's, great revolvers but the prices have just gotten insane in the last year or so.

I really need something like that in my life... LOL ;)

If you take your time they are not anywhere near 27s....

I got this 28-2 for $540 with some factory ammo. If I could find 27s at that price I would buy them all day long.
