I just purchased a S&W Core 5" in .40 caliber and am curious as to which red dot optics I should order for it.
I hunt hogs often at night, and occasionally get into very thick woods looking for one that I've shot and didn't drop on the spot. I have been using a Glock 22 in .40 for some time, with a light on the rail and night sights, but am thinking a red dot sight might be a better alternative for quick shooting.
I'm not well versed in the brands and quirks of the small red dot types that the pistol is designed to accept and was just wondering if someone could offer some advice along this line.
I should have the pistol in a couple days, and was wanting to order a sight and get the whole thing going.
